One problem with trying to assassinate a tough barbarian is that a one-shot kill isn't that easy to pull off. Blackout kinda underestimated the benefit of the element of surprise here.
Did a little different try at paneling here, namely taking out the panels.

Blackout belongs to Slash.

Mysterious figure in the shadows: "How humiliating...i had high expectations of her...time to send Kris.

Heh, from the expressions, belly bulge and teary eyed gertude, this is all win. ^^

Oh gods! Not Kris! D:

And thanks! I'm glad you think so. I had fun drawing it.

As much as I absolutely love. . .

1) Turnabout scenes
2) Deceptively beautiful but tough-as-nails women

. . .I have to say my favorite part(s) is the various facial expressions. Especially Blackout's when she's getting "wham'd" and Gertie's in the final panel. I can now seriously picture Gertrude having a Charlie Brown "maw shot" moment. ^_^

Glad this appeals to you on so many fronts.
Though I have to ask...what do you mean by a "Charlie Brown 'maw shot' moment"?
I'm probably reading it wrong, but I don't recall any maw shots in Charlie Brown. :P

Wait a second...do you mean when a character tilts his/her head back and opens his/her mouth wide to say something like "Good grief!"?

Understood!
I just never thought of that as a mawshot. :P

*nods* Truthfully, I wasn't sure what you would call that. ^^;

I don't either, but now we're clear on what you were discussing. :3

And if Blackout HAD managed to swallow her, odds are better than even that she would have belched those glasses up. Kitty just can't win!

Aaaah! Its sideways! Actually I expected this to cause the page layout to fail. Its a known issue with wide pictures, however it seems that when the picture is also not tall, it is actually pretty okay.

So it would appear. I honestly didn't expect it to be as long as it is, though. Usually I don't like to lay things out as quite long.

But on the depaneled panels, some of the dead tree format drawings you've done have had a bit of that. I think it is okay to do, but frames still have their place! The continuation of the same perspective may lend itself to frameless? More analysis is needed for a better answer, for now it will just have to be "it depends."

I think you're right. Just "What feels right" may work.

Nope! Her glasses were just for show, actually.

You did a great job on the faces with this one. Good to know you're still inspired by assassin lemurs who lurk in the shadows, waiting for their prey.

Oh dear. She may have to wait a while to get her glasses back...and to get them cleaned. >.<

Might not be worth it. Somehow I doubt she'll have the patience to look for them.

I really do love this one. Panels 3, 4, and 5 especially. I told you you do good action shots. But did you believe me? Probably. Only probably.

Those count as panels?! :O
Well thanks! I'm trying harder to do action stuff. I think it'll help improve stuff overall if I can pull these kinds of things off.
