Probably because i havent been here in a while i thought i'd share that they've been showing reruns of the original V: the visitors series on syfy recently..
those of you that dont know should try to fine the first movie some where in the middle they show the lizard aliens form a planet in the cainus constelation eat small rodents.. liek mice and hampsters.. but a particularly good special effect that they used in this scene one of the aliens opend really wide and Swallowed a gueinepid whole and you got to see a nice muddeled buldge rolling down her throat..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VObQfWMgmIM
and all through out the run of the television series that ran in the 80's there were actualy quite a few instances of the visitors eating mice and other things..
liek treating ants like caviare' (?)
and a pretense of the movie is as follows.
Aliens pretending to be friendly come to Earth and are received openly. The aliens have masqueraded themselves to look just like humans. When it is discovered that the aliens' planet is dying and that they have come to rape the Earth of its natural resources, the war for Earth begins. An important key to the humans' success is distinguishing the their own from the aliens.
(IMDB)
now the best part!!
the are maing a revamp of the show for the ABC networks!

Re: V: 1983
I'm actually curious to see how the remake will turn out. It LOOKS promising, and I'd love to see how they update or change some stuff... but... yeah.
I grew up with my mom watching those whenever they came of t.v. or when she got the DVDs, and the scene you mentioned always used to fascinate me. Or even the one part where they go after canaries. I've always wondered what they ate back on their planet. D8

They showed that scene on the Jimmy Fallon show last night. Scott Wolf, an actor from the new version of the V series was on the show, and he talked about it briefly.

Re: V: 1983
The 1980s version of "V" was a lot better than the new version. I've seen the first two episodes, and I'm not going to watch the show any more. This show is mainly about espionage, and the focus is not on the alien technology enough in my opinion. The old show had laser gun fights, but so far, I haven't seen one laser gun on the show. Too much present day bullshit, and not enough futuristic action in my opinion.

Eh, I'll give it some time. Maybe things will pick up at SOME point.

Re: V: 1983
The need to stop beating around the bush and just make a show called "Half-Hour Of Vore!" Then we wouldn't have watch all these shows, looking for something.
On topic: I really did like that show, but I haven't seen the remake. The old show was the closest thing to Vore-TV I've ever seen.
